Sri Lanka served as the backdrop for several classic Hollywood films. Some Hollywood films that have featured scenes shot in Sri Lanka include Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957), Tarzan the Ape Man (1981), Elephant Walk (1954).

Mr. Andy from Poland is a film enthusiast who has a deep passion for cinema and film culture. He is highly knowledgeable about movies, directors, actors, and film history. He is a great fan of Indiana Jones movie series as well and he wanted to visit Sri Lanka and witness the locations where Indiana Jones Movie was shot in Sri Lanka. Several iconic sequences of Stene Spielberg’s classic thriller were filmed in Kandy, Hanthana Mountain, Kelani River, Pinnawala, Colombo and he visited most of these places and had a great time experiencing the locations and engaging with local communities there.

From our side we had customized his tour plan according to his preferences and facilitated his visit to Sri Lanka to be a memorable one. He derived great pleasure and fulfilment from the experience of watching and engaging with shooting locations of Indiana Jones Movie and highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting these classic film locations to other tourists and movie enthusiasts as well.
