Tangalle, a quiet coastal town in southern Sri Lanka, is a nice spot to relax and enjoy some pretty scenery. While it is a good place for a break, there are a lot of things to do in Tangalle. You can hang out on beaches like Tangalle Beach, Silent Beach, or Goyambokka. They’ve got clear blue water and a calm vibe. Check out the rock pools at the Hummanaya Blow Hole if you’re curious. It is a natural wonder. Visit the Rekawa Turtle Conservation Project to get to know the Sea Turtles up close. You can see turtles nesting, which is neat to watch. If you like, take a boat or kayak on Tangalle Lagoon, or try some water sports. The Mulkirigala Rock Monastery is an old place with nice views and cultural insights into Sri Lanka’s history. There is also the Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary for birdwatching, and the Ussangoda Ramayana Site with its unusual rocks and Ramayana legends. Tangalle is laid-back, with good views and a mix of nature and culture-perfect for chilling or a little exploring.
