Silk Way Ceylon Tours designs school trips to Sri Lanka and edu school tours for school groups worldwide, blending UNESCO heritage sites, wildlife safaris, turtle conservation and cultural exchange with local schools into one fully guided educational tour package for every school tour group.

Silk Way Ceylon Tours: Your Trusted Partner for School Trips to Sri Lanka

Are you planning an educational trip for your school children, or for a wider school tour group? Silk Way Ceylon Tours is the travel partner behind some of the most memorable school trips to Sri Lanka, designing edu school tours that inspire young minds, build cultural understanding and deliver real learning outside the classroom. Our student-focused itineraries let young travellers explore Sri Lanka’s rich history, diverse landscapes and vibrant culture first-hand.

Sri Lanka’s own appeal helps make the case for travel-based learning — the island was named one of the 50 Best Places to Travel for 2026, and its UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Ancient City of Sigiriya, give every school group a genuine, curriculum-relevant backdrop to learn from.

What Makes Our Educational Tours for Students Different

  • From ancient cities and UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Sigiriya to wildlife safaris and hands-on community projects, our educational tours for students combine sightseeing with real cultural exchange, not just a checklist of attractions.
  • A visit to a local primary school is the highlight for most groups — a chance for students to meet Sri Lankan children and teachers, and see the local education system first-hand.
  • As an established student tour agency, we design every school tour group’s programme around specific curriculum goals, age range and group size — from single classes to larger, multi-school student tours in Sri Lanka.

A Full Programme of Learning, On and Off the Itinerary

Our student educational tours weave classroom learning into everyday experience: village life and cooking classes near Sigiriya, turtle conservation on the south coast, batik and woodcraft demonstrations, tea plucking and gem mining, and time with experienced local guides and educators throughout. It’s this blend of structure and hands-on discovery that keeps students engaged well beyond the trip itself.

Several of our partner international schools in Sri Lanka pair their educational trip with cricket tours for schools or broader multi-sport school tours, extending the programme with competitive fixtures alongside the cultural itinerary.

Explore our projects section in the website and our YouTube channel to discover how we bring these exceptional authentic experiences to real life.
